These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your download and use of epub2pdf (the "Software"), a free Windows desktop application offered by Favzen ("we", "us", or "our").

By downloading, installing, or using the Software, you agree to these Terms. If you disagree, do not install or use the Software.

1. Product Description

epub2pdf is a locally installed desktop application that converts reflowable fiction EPUB files into print-ready PDFs on your computer. Conversion runs on your device. The Software is not a cloud service, web application, or API.

2. License

2.1 License Grant

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use the Software on devices you own or control, for your own lawful use.

2.2 Updates

We may offer updates at our discretion. This license does not entitle you to every future version.

3. No Accounts

The Software does not require a user account, cloud login, registration, or online profile.

4. Acceptable Use

4.1 Permitted Use

You may use the Software to convert EPUB files you have the right to convert, including personal and lawful business use.

4.2 Prohibited Activities

You agree NOT to:

• Use the Software with content you are not legally entitled to convert
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or extract source code except where applicable law allows
• Resell, sublicense, rent, or redistribute the Software without our written permission
• Use the Software for illegal purposes

5. Your Files and Privacy

EPUB files you open and PDFs you create stay on your computer. We do not receive, store, or process those files. See our Privacy Policy for details.

You are solely responsible for the files you convert, including copyright compliance and the accuracy of output.

6. Intellectual Property

6.1 Software Ownership

The Software, including its original content, features, and functionality, is owned by Favzen and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. Your license is a right to use, not a sale of the Software itself.

6.2 Your Content

You retain all rights to your EPUB files and generated PDFs. You do not grant us a license to those files because we never receive them.

6.3 Feedback

If you send feedback, suggestions, or ideas, we may use them without obligation to you.

7. Performance

We strive to provide a useful converter but do not guarantee:

• Error-free operation on every EPUB
• Compatibility with fixed-layout, academic, magazine, or other unsupported formats
• 100% accuracy of layout or conversion results

We may change features in future versions.

8. Limitation of Liability

The Software is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to:

• Warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement
• Warranties regarding the accuracy, reliability, or completeness of results
• Warranties that the Software will meet your specific requirements

8.1 Damages Limitation

In no event shall Favzen, its directors, employees, partners, agents, suppliers, or affiliates be liable for:

• Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
• Loss of profits, revenue, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses
• Damages resulting from errors, mistakes, or inaccuracies in conversion results
• Any damages exceeding the amount you paid for the Software, if any

8.2 Use at Your Own Risk

You acknowledge that automated conversion may contain errors. You should review PDFs before printing or distributing them.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Favzen and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from:

• Your use or misuse of the Software
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any rights of another party, including copyright
• Your violation of applicable laws or regulations

10. Termination

You may stop using the Software at any time by uninstalling it. We may terminate your license if you breach these Terms. Upon termination, you must stop using the Software and destroy copies in your possession, except where applicable law requires otherwise.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms by posting a revised version on this page with a new "Last Updated" date. Continued use of the Software after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

12. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

12.1 Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction where Favzen is registered, without regard to conflict of law provisions.

12.2 Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Software shall be resolved through:

1. Good faith negotiation between the parties
2. Mediation if negotiation fails
3. Binding arbitration if mediation is unsuccessful

13. Miscellaneous

13.1 Entire Agreement

These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Favzen regarding the Software and supersede all prior agreements.

13.2 Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

13.3 Waiver

No waiver of any term shall be deemed a further or continuing waiver of such term or any other term.

13.4 Assignment

You may not assign or transfer these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign our rights and obligations without restriction.

13.5 Force Majeure

We shall not be liable for any failure to perform due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
